Rocketplane® Will Host First Marriage in Space

Oklahoma City, 6/27/06 - Rocketplane® Limited, Inc. announced today that Cindy Cashman and Mitch Walling will be the first couple to be married in space aboard Rocketplane's XP launch vehicle.

"I came up with the idea over a year ago," said Cashman, entrepreneur and best-selling author. "While I was meditating, an idea popped in my head to be the first person to be married in space, so I started taking action to make my dream a reality. What I needed first was the right man."

Cashman went through an intense and exciting 12-month period of dating 33 different men. She found the right one, Mitch Walling, through an online dating service.

"I knew the day I met Cindy that I was going to marry her and I asked her 2 months later while going 70 mph on my motorcycle," said Mitch, a pilot for American Eagle Airlines.

Cashman surprised Walling by announcing her dream for them to be the first couple married in space, in zero-gravity. Rocketplane plans to take the couple into space in 2009. Her claim to fame is a book she marketed called "Everything Men Know About Women" written under the pseudonym of Dr. Alan Francis. It is 128 blank pages -and sold over a million copies.
