UNZIPPING: The download file may be encapsulated into what is called a "zip archive" or .zip file. You will need to "extract" the contents before using the content. MacIntosh computers do this for you automatically. You can use Windows Explorer view of the contents of the .zip file by right-clicking the zip file and selecting [Explore]. It may look like you can just click on the contents and open the files in the archive, but this does not work because they are compressed. If you are have not yet unzipped the file you downloaded, you need to do the following: SAVING: The file you extract may be re-named as you like, as long as you leave the last three characters alone. You can move or copy the file to your desk-top or to any folder you like for your convenience. |
