John Schmidt

Hi America! My name is John Schmidt and I'm here to Support Our Troops through my words, my songs, my actions and any other ways and means I can possibly find to support them. I hope you'll join me and many other military families, veterans and friends in doing the same. Whether you agree with the war or not, one thing we all must agree upon is supporting our troops. They're in different countries doing jobs that no one else wants to do.

I was inspired to write this song shortly after the events of 9/11. It soon became a tribute to the troops & their families. I was never in the service but my brother was in the Navy. I feel that many returning servicemen were not treated well, especially from the Vietnam era. With my music I can do my small part to show them someone cares.

I have wives and mothers of the military tell me they were moved to tears hearing my songs. So... no matter how you feel about the war, respect the warrior, they do a job that they believe WILL make a worldwide difference. Thank them for our freedom and for their sacrifice.

The first line of my song, "This is American Our Heart & Soul" ....Old Glory Still Flies faded out there on my front porch -- means that flag will fly till all the troops are home. No matter what your political party, we need to support our troops!

I have sent 100 copies of the cd single to the troops in Iraq.

Let us all stand hand in hand and pray for peace. God Bless The Troops both past and present, and their families for the sacrifices they have made for you and me.
