At 5:00 am on a Sunday morning several weeks ago, I woke up contemplating Love and how we withhold it thinking that by doing so we will somehow stay safe.
Which lead me to think even more about how we withhold what we love doing!
Which lead me to think a lot about the Parable of the Talents.
Which lead me to want to share my thoughts with you about just how important it is to observe ourselves withholding Light, Love and / or our Talents.
So … here’s what I
really think about Love and bringing our Talents out of the dark. I feel very passionate about this and it’s my intention to bring even more Light upon the subject!
The Commanding Message of the Parable of the Talents
The Parable of the Talents is a story about a man who had servants. He was going on a journey, and he entrusted his possessions to them: they were made stewards over his possessions, each according to his abilities. One servant was given five talents, another was given two, and the third was given one talent. (A talent was not a coin, but a weight of a precious metal such as silver, and one talent of silver was worth more than $1,000.) The servant with five talents doubled his, as did the servant with two. The servant who had been given one talent buried it out of fear! He did not do anything to increase his master's property. When the master returned, he praised the first two servants, and then he took his one talent away from the third servant and gave it to the man who had ten talents. He punished the third servant because he had not properly used the talent he had been given, which seems terribly harsh, I know.
However, the parable makes a simple and very powerful point for us to embrace: 1) don’t bury your talents, be it money or ability, and 2) each of these talents was given according to the abilities of the person, so use what talents you have.
This is incredibly exciting news!
It means you are here to celebrate who you are and the special talents that only you bring. Certainly there are varying degrees of talents. This is a good thing! Keep your focus on what you do, on what you love. You are more than enough. You have more than enough for what you came here to be, do and have.
Understand there really is no competition for your talent. It’s your talent. There is a right and perfect place for you and what you love doing and being. It’s “your” dream. It’s got your name on it! Your talents mature, grow and expand over you entire lifetime. Keep your talents in the Light and manage them well.
What MasterMinding did for me was to heal me of an extremely limiting belief, that I should somehow be hiding my talents in a hole in the ground, i.e. the dark, as did the third servant.
Often, like the third servant, we cry out that we are afraid of people who we’ve decided are greater than us, i.e., our bosses, others in our field or industry, celebrities or anyone who has basically gone before us celebrating their talents.

There is no place for jealousy, fear, worry or a belief in competition for that which we came here to be.
We all have the innate capacity to be the bearers of Light … of all good things. But as with the light switch on the wall, we must turn it on and allow our talents to simply and powerfully, shine healing, soothing Light of service, of contribution into our world.
To do this, you need only focus with single-minded concentration on your intention to bring your talent forth and to be the Master of all the good the Universe is calling you to create.
This is your right livelihood.
It most certainly is your inherent right to prosper abundantly through your talents. True prosperity is about living in the surplus of all good things and this includes financial freedom and security. This includes love, health and divine protection of all those you hold within your circle of love.
We give our power away every single time we de-value and limit that which breathes us and that which has entrusted us to bring our talents forth to our very own corner of the world.
When we do this, giving our power away by not bringing forth our talents, we are basically fighting for mediocrity.
And then we say that all of our troubles are the result of God’s will. This presence and power gives us free will and the wisdom and connecting power to know the “right” desires of our hearts. We are meant to be the Masters of all the good the Universe has to offer us.
When we subscribe to limiting beliefs, this is hiding our talents behind the shadows.
Desire means “of the father,” (de sire) so why do we keep downplaying what’s pulling at us to be, do and have? Because we believe what limited thinkers expound, more than we trust our inner quiet voice and the Light within us?!
This is why I wrote my LightMovie.com, and why I wrote MasterMinding101.
People without vision perish. What is the vision you have been shying away from? What are the talents you deny? How do you fight for mediocrity? Are you giving excuses or saying that you will “try?” Or are you letting excuses like “there’s not enough money to pursue my dream”- all become more important than you simply taking a step into your talent, one step, one goal, one MasterMind request at a time?
The commanding message of the Parable of the Talents is this: there is no “try,” there is only be, do … have.
If you are an entrepreneur who fell in love with a product, and the dream being dreamed through you is to help others by selling this product to those who want and need what you have, and thereby create financial surplus and security for yourself … this is but one of the ways you are being called to use your talents.
When you utilize a technique that does not work the first time it simply means “re-evaluate.” Get clear about how you’d prefer that it be, vision best case scenarios and stop entertaining worst case blunders! It does not mean “stop, give up and quit!”
Love what you do, sell what you love.
What you want, wants you!
Understand this: it takes time to develop Mastery of your talents. It takes practice, practice, practice, and in that comes more and more ease. An increased confidence builds the foundation necessary for your talents to come through you with ease and grace.
Talents include everything from being an empowering human being, a loving, supportive, compassionate spouse and / or parent, a peace-seeking co-worker, business builder, a creator and performer of the arts, athletic performance, mental performance, genius creations …it includes all that you are being called to bring forward.
I highly recommend that you get deliberate about your talents with MasterMinding on a weekly basis to not only advance your own talents, but those of others.
Stop saying you don’t have time!
That’s hiding your talents in the dark.
Stop saying you don’t have the money!
That’s fighting for mediocrity.
Stop saying too many people in your life are sucking the life force out of you!
That’s digging a hole to bury your talents even deeper.
In MasterMinding, you learn how to honor and articulate the essence of what you really want, not what you’ve been told is possible. Stop subscribing to what limited, fearful people say. Listen to your own inner guidance.
You get to ask for what you’d prefer; be it money, love, health, happy satisfying marriage, peaceful children, or all of the above. You then formulate a MasterMind request/goal, state it confidently to your partner, sit back and
learn to receive while your partner gives you a “see back” of exactly what you’ve asked for.
Finally, pay attention as the days unfold and do only what’s in front of you to do and “let” the Universe provide for you in it’s own perfect way. Be willing to be willing to do whatever is in front of you to do. And whatever is in front of you to do …respond from a place of pure Light.
And that’s what we came here to give.
